This policy explains what personal data Two Galaxy Brains (the "Game"), operated by Tessermind LTD, collects from players and how that data is used. The Game is offered free of charge on Steam (PC) and Google Play (Android).
What we collect
When you play, the Game and its services may receive the following data:
- Platform identifier and display name. Steam ID and Steam display name on PC; Google account email and display name on Android. These are used solely to authenticate you against Epic Online Services (EOS).
- Epic Online Services Product User ID (PUID). A pseudonymous identifier assigned by Epic that links your sessions, friends, and progression across devices.
- Epic Account display name (optional). If you choose to sign in with your Epic Account for cross-device persistence.
- In-game nickname. Either inherited from your platform or set by you in the Game.
- Match data. Round scores, response times, selected question categories, equipped cosmetic loadout, and lobby attributes.
- Network address (transient). Your IP address is exchanged with other players in your match through EOS peer-to-peer transport for the duration of the session. Tessermind does not log or store player IP addresses.
Where it goes
Data is processed by the following parties. Their privacy policies govern how they handle the data they receive.
- Epic Games, Inc. (Epic Online Services) — hosts authentication, lobbies, sessions, peer-to-peer signalling, and cross-device player identity. See Epic's privacy policy.
- Valve Corporation (Steam) — issues your Steam authentication ticket on PC. See Valve's privacy policy.
- Google LLC (Sign-In, Play Services) — issues your Google ID token on Android. See Google's privacy policy.
- Tessermind LTD (this site, content backend) — hosts the question content delivered to the Game. The content backend does not store player-identifying information.
We do not sell or rent player data. We do not embed third-party advertising or third-party analytics SDKs in the Game.
Why we collect it
- Account identity. Platform identifiers and the EOS PUID let us recognize the same player across sessions and devices.
- Matchmaking and lobbies. Display names and lobby attributes populate the in-game player list and invites.
- Gameplay. Scores and response times determine round outcomes and ranking within a match.
- Persistence. Cosmetic choices and chosen nickname follow you between sessions through your EOS PUID.
Retention
Account-bound data (PUID, nickname, cosmetic loadout, match history) is kept for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of all data associated with your PUID by emailing [email protected] from the address tied to your platform account. Deletion is completed within 30 days.
Match-session traffic exchanged peer-to-peer through EOS is not logged after the session ends.
Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with such data, contact [email protected] and we will remove it.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent to processing. Direct requests to [email protected].
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Game after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
